On Friday 14 February, ALF Olsen Place hosted a beautiful community BBQ called "Meet the Neighbours" for the locals living around the ALF Olsen Place center. The event was sponsored by the Hume City Council 2024/25 Community
and Neighbourhood Events - Small Grant program which allowed ALF to take initiative to bring the community and our center together.
It was a beautiful afternoon, with even more beautiful people and food who gathered around, spoke about life, the community, acceptance of one another and how to live together in this beautiful country of ours which we call home.
People across different ages, nationalities, and beliefs all came together to show the true essence of humanity, togetherness, unity and joy. ALF appreciates the Hume City Council, the wonderful, selfless volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the event a beautiful success. ALF would like to specifically thank all the amazing members of the community and frequenters of our center who made this day the beautiful day it was. ALF would also

Community is nothing without the ones who come together to make that community a family.
