ALF Youth's Winter Classic

Last Friday marked our ALF Youth Winter Classic — Pizza and FIFA Night.

The evening truly didn’t disappoint. After our regular Friday Night evening session, where we reflect on Islam and Islamic Concepts, brotherhood, and self-development, the real fun began and carried on late into the night.

With over 30 youth aged 15 to 35 in attendance and more than 15 large pizzas to keep the energy up, the social club was buzzing with laughter, banter, friendly competition, and genuine connection. The highlight of the night was the 2v2 FIFA tournament, played across two screens and filled with excitement, cheers, and some intense matchups. The winners took home $100, the runners-up $50 — but the memories made were for the ages.

A UFC gaming showdown also brought out the competitive spirit, with another $50 prize on the line. The traditional Turkish game Dama was set up as well, though it had fewer participants this time — something we’re keen to grow at future events.
