The Australia Light Foundation (ALF) hosted the second of their three beautiful iftaar dinners this past Saturday evening, the 23rd of March 2024 and it may have just been the biggest one ever with over 750 attendees and some very special guests!
The iftaar was truly a sight of unity, togetherness, multiculturalism and a sight of a true community. The event had people of many diverse backgrounds who sat on shared tables to break bread with their brothers and sisters in faith and community. ALF was also delighted to host important members of our community, namely, Federal MP Daniel Mulino, Victoria State Government Ministers Nazli Suleyman, Ingrid Stitt, Laverton MP Sarah Connolly, Footscray MP Katie Hall, Maribyrnong Mayor Cuc Lam and a true good friend of ALF, Sung Hak Kim (Kimbo) the CEO and Managing Director of Australian General Services who handles business collaborations between Australia and Korea.
The food was prepared and served by members of the ALF Community to the very hungry yet patient 750+ attendees. ALF would like to really thank the Women of ALF for their efforts in preparing a beautiful dinner for all to enjoy whilst breaking our fast. The effort of ALF Women does not go unnoticed as they are an integral part of ALF and we thank them again.
ALF has now hosted two of the three beautiful Community Iftaar Dinners with great success and togetherness and ALF looks forward to hosting the final Community Iftaar Dinners on the upcoming Saturday (30 March 2024) of Ramadan.
