ALF is excited to announce that ALF now has a Tomra Recycling Kiosk at our facility so that donating your recyclable plastic, glass and cans is now a lot more easier!
Starting from 27 July 2024, Don't throw your plastic, glass and can bottles into the bin, transform them into donations at the ALF Recycling Kiosk!
ALF is proud to provide a convenient way for our community to donate their recyclable bottles as contributions to our mosque.
At our community center, you can now return eligible drink bottles and receive a 10c refund for each. This includes most drink bottles between 150ml and 3L made from can, glass, plastic, and carton.
To ensure your containers are accepted, please do not crush them or remove the labels. The Tomra Reverse Vending Machine relies on the shape, label, and barcode to process your refund. By participating, you not only help the environment but also supporting our masjid directly with Sadaqa!
However we have a small task for You! You will need to download the CDS VIC app and select Australia Light Foundation as your Charity Organisation which is a very easy and simple process. By scanning the barcode on the app, your recyclables can be utilized as a donation.
Ibrahim Karadag will be at the center every day to help you download the app, guide you on how to use the machine, and answer any questions. Don't hesitate to ask for assistance!
Here is a quick guide to downloading the app so that you can begin donating with your bottles!
Step 1 - Based on your location (Western, Northern, Eastern Suburbs) you must download the correct APP.

Step 2 - Register with your details
Step 3 - Go to Charities and Search Australia Light Foundation
Step 4 - Select "ALF - Raising the Children" Charity and click Select as Payout.
Step 5 - You are all set!
Step 6 - Scan the barcode at the Kiosk next time and the donations will automatically go to Australia Light Foundation!
